the military and came out and became a cop. what i want everybody to know and want president obama to know, i feel like our country is divided. we need to come together as one. i get to talk to kids. the lady, the mother of that evil kid that shot those kids should have had enough common sense to think, hey, you know what i should be a responsible gun owner and take these guns and lock them out. out of the house and what i want people to remember is our flag is made out of the blood of patriots, do not give up your rights because when you give up your rights you're going to fight with blood to get the rights back. and that second amendment has given us every other amendment and as a sportsman, as a cop, guns are not the problem. we need to become a better country, need to become better parents and responsible. if we're responsible americans, human beings with our case, this country with be greater. >> i want to apologize we didn't get to hear from everybody tonight. i promise we will bring you back. it's sad a lot of media outlets won't give both nation's capital. stay close. >> tonig

obama came on and was in a joef yell mood. >> for all of the talk we had during the campaign ofment o prt obama's ability to raise money it would be a million dollar campaign and the talk mitt romney had more corporate donors it would be a wash in cash. the president had no trouble raising enough money to get himself re-elected it is thanks in part to an incredible network he has built over the years. talk about the importance of money in this election, charles. >> he has never backed for money. in 2008 he was the first to go without the federal matching money so he could raise unlimited amounts he did and he crushed mccain in terms of the fundraising. he is commuting with the 53 percent his way of reaching to try to bring us all together after a campaign where he ran into 47 percent. it is a night where they are just having a good time. i wouldn't take any of it too seriously. it is a minor bit. you have to give him a pass on inauguration. he's having a good time and this is the money essentially to fund all of the festivities he which he won fair and square. >> public money goes to

contentious way to sum up the day. i guess, just briefly onbe what we have been talking about the whole civil rights aspect. feeling about the inauguration of the reassembling of the block-by-block democratic coalition built up to re-elect barack obama, which consisted of latinos, gays, single women, et cetera, african-americans, et cetera, et cetera, all of whom had their representatives in the inaugural festivities. i think that the people who watch pbs were there. james taylor, you know, the guy they have on sweeps week. it had that feeling of an event for that coalition. right? less a feeling of a completely apolitical or unpolitical event. >> are the demographics shifting for democrats? >> i think they could be. you are seeing the president embrace what chuck is talking about because they were an important part of the coalition. also to go to the discussion earlier. this is who he is ideologically and what he believes. what made the speech ideological is not that it had a long, laundry list of preference group issues. things to insight liberals but a philosophical defense of
